Braybrooke Village Fete - Saturday 8th July 2017
A comment was heard that there weren't any pictures of musicians on our display boards. I do try but as dancers dance towards the musicians it can be difficult to get a 'clean shot' without dancers drifting in and out.. Musicians also tend to look serious. Today I think I 'got the angle needed to put things right - except for the absence of David our other fiddler. Only 8 more dance outs left can I get them all together in one shot?
Braybrooke Village Fete was officially opened by our Squire David Ball with a short address and two introductory Dances - The Braybrooke Stick Dance and The Rose Tree. which was a taster for more dancing later in the afternoon. Lot's of stalls and attractions including clowns , face painting/ Gretton Silver Band, a dog show and the cake stall kept us occupied. One disappointment was that no one signed up for a Morris Dance Workshop which is consistent with our experience over the last 2 years. As the French would say 'C'est la vie'. We danced another 4 dances before we headed home tired but happy at a good performance
