The George at Brixworth - Thursday 25th May 2017
lIt would be nice if everywhere we went was like Brixworth. Maybe it was the warm early summer evening that got such a good crowd sitting outside in the beer garden or was it the poster in the bar (Thank you Landlord you are one of the few who put it on display) When all were assembled we had almost a full compliment of dancers and musicians.
We were also helped by the presence of Jim Stuckey, who dances with Peterborough and Northampton Morris Sides who happens to live in Brixworth. 'He cerainly got involved, not missing out on many opportunities and repeated his solo performance of 'The Nutting Girl'.
The Audience were enthusiastic particularly when it came to 'joining in with Shepherda Hay - two ladies in particular kept us laughing and provided a subject for several photographs - some of which are in the gallery below. Hope they see them.
Thanks akso to the lady who took charge of my camera while I was dancing , producing some useable images in spite of shooting straight into the sun.
