Nevil Arms - Medbourn 9th June 2016
As the song says "It was pleasant and delightful" at Medbourn Thursday last. Our first 'real' summer evening. There were a fair sized 'Audience' when we arrived - but the quickly dispersed once the realised 'The Morris Dancers had arrived. A few remained observing from a safe distance serving from a distance. We started off a bit concerned about numbers but Gail and Geoff arrived separately a little after we started. They'd had to tour the Northants / Leicestershire/Rutland Borders as the old A427 was shut and traffic was being diverted. So numbers being up left decisions to be made concerning what we could dance now we had a minimum of 6 dancers available. Performing ceased just after 9.00pm with Bonny Green Garters.
POST SCRIPT - what had seamed like a nice evening out turned into a nightmare over the weekend her knee 'blew up' and went red - presumably a hungry insect had bit Rowena. Two visits to the Corby Medical Centre and two courses of Antibiotics taken simultaneously appear getting things back 'to normal'. Life being a Morris Dancer or Musician is full of surprises
