What ever happened to light summer evenings. It was another dim one when we shared honours with Coventry Morris Men dancing at The Chequers at Swinford. More accurately it was near the Pub making the evening all the more interesting as the dances were performed on the road at a 'T' junction . .This wasn't too bad for the odd car but when a large blue lorry and trailer swung in it was evryone for themselves - the driver waved and laughed Sharing the dancing with Coventry made it an interesting evening as their programme includes sword dancing , giving some interesting examples. for the audience which had assembled inspite of the threat of rain early on. Pauline had a few volunteers for 'Shepherds Hay ' who also joined in with a combined 'Jolly Green Garters' followed by Sausage and Chips in the Chequers to finish
