The Warf - Welford - Thursday 2nd June 2016
The Warf at Welford is a very nice pub especially in the warm glow of a summers evening. Not that we would know that as summer deserted and left it cold dank and dark on Thursday. It was if anything colder than last year at The Bell East Langton. So what ever support we had came from behind shuttered windows in the warm and comfort of the Bar. There was one interested party who I think was French and we had passing compliments from a group of retiring diners who had friends from Cornwall staying with them who really enjoyed it. No one was keen to try so by 8.30 pm we were looking at each other to see who would be the first to suggest Bonny Green Garters as the next Dance. It didn't take long. On the up side I'd been able to try out a new lens under conditions to which it is not ideallyu suited - too dark too early. Maybe we will be luckier on Saturday helping along the Macmillan Collection Day with the assistance of Bakanalia
