The Swan - Braybrooke - Thursday 29th August 2019
Why does it feel like no sooner we started our 2019 Dancing out season than we're back here on an evening tinged with all that is 'Forever Autumn'. The evening was heading towards dark by the time we got started. , and we continued , as usual , to dance well past the point where we could see each other - were in not for our white shirts. The evening was tinged with more than a little sadness as longtime Dancer and Musician David Simonds announced his retirement. We will miss his 'dry' humour and his experience and knowledge of all things 'Morris' we wish him well and will doubtless see him at one or other of our winter 'functions.
By about 9.00 pm we had had enough of 'Dancing in the Dark and after singing 'Bonny Green' for possibly the last time in 2019 (Don't hold your breath) retired to the pub for a pint , some chips and a natter - never mind not long until April.
