Bridge 61 - Foxton Locks - Thursday 24th May 2018
All set for a nice evening by the waterside. All it needed was some warm summer sun to warm us up.The first drops of rain marked the toe path just as the members of the side turned up. Over a period of about 10 mins it increased to persistant but not enough to stop us dancing as it did a couple of years ago. It was enough for those not dancing scuttle under the trees for cover. Wet Grass and a damp tow path added a little more entertainment on a dance area already narrow and strewn with concrete bollards. We don't care we've danced it before , it did look a bit 'cosy' at times especially in the case of Mona's delight which normally takes up 3x the space available here. Upton stick was also interesting as everyone had to restrain from piratical swordplay just in case someone went a step too far.
It was nice to see Gordon from Rutland Morris joining us again we can expect more during the summer.
By the time we packed up we had survived the rain and been treated to a rainbow (It's somewhere on the picture honest) and a glorious sunset which my new camera did it's best to pull the colour out of . It's never easy is it !!
