The George - Brixworth - Thursday 18th July 2019 with Northampton Morris Men
Not for the first time have we been blessed with a sunny evening at Brixworth. The crowd who turn out to see us always appear to enjoy themselves and join in where they can love it, the exception being me. When the sun blazes up the block path from the car park to the pub's back door it makes life interesting for anyone taking stills and video and I was taking both. The evening was made even more interesting by the presence of Northampton Morris Men , resplendent in Tricorn hats and with a ' fool' complete with a bladder on a stick to keep dancers in check. We shared the dancing - and several dance variations - which was interesting. Jim Stuckey danced 'The Nutting Girl with music from Braybrooke's Bill#1- considering the that they do this together only once a year it wasn't a bad performance. We danced until it was getting dark and the audience joined in enthusiastically with Bonny Green Garters.
Thanks to Northampton Morris Men for helping us have such an enjoyable evening, Hope we will see you on 3rd August for our 30th Anniversary and 21st September for your 80th .
