The Langton Brewery , Thorpe Langton Saturday 9th July 2016 - Date
The Invitation from The Langton Brewery to dance at their 2nd Beer Festival in July arrived some time in January / February and looked like a nice idea in spite of our shortage of dancers. Some time later life got complicated when Braybrooke Village decided to have a Street Party celebration and picked the 9th July and invited us to dance during the festivities. As the home of the side "sorry we're already booked" wasn't really an option. Which is how why we were planning runs around the Welland Valley to cover them both.
On a dismal Saturday Morning we turned up at the Brewery about 20 mins early and within 2 mins had the 'Fee' in our pocket (only until Geoff the Bagman arrived)
Next a chap in Knee britches a Tricorn hat and Red and Yellow Baldricks introduced himself as Philip from Northampton Morris , who had come along to see if he could help us out. Five minutes later it got even better when who should turn up on the same 'rescue mission' but Gordon Blunt from Rutland Morris. With some interesting beers and ciders on tap and the sun breaking through about 1 pm It turned out to be a nice morning.
Bonny Green Garters was sung about 1.30pm after which we headed off to Sally's for a quick lunch , and very nice it was - ' before setting off to Braybrooke for round 2. Thank you Sally ,Philip and Gordon.
Thanks also to Alex Wells for the additional images , it's nice to put someone else's pictures in the Gallery. I think Alex used his phone what ever it was it produces excellent quality images. Alex's pictures follow the two pictures of Pauline and our guest dancers Gordon and Philip.
