The Chandlers Arms - Shearsby - Thursday 30th May 2019
A fine sunny evening was the order of the day and a fine sunny evening we got Slowly and surely that hill is getting the better of us as there were more breathing stops and meaningless conversations to avoid more effort than necessary and we dance across it not up and down it!! As usual where a good few people eating and drinking but not many came out although the Land Lord came out to see us. There were 3 or 4 girls accompanied by sisters friends ,aunts, mothers and grandmothers took part in the performance of Shepherds Hay . At about 8,45pm Bonny Green was called for before we all headed for home.
As a point of possible interest, at the start of the 2019 I made a pact with myself to reduce the number of images I take at Dance outs. In 2018 I was averaging 350 shots per location - sounds a lot but with the shutter capable of firing 7 frames/second, its very easy. and it was getting difficult keeping on top of them. A very effective way is too remove the memory card and not put it back !!! -something I have only done 3 or 4 times in the past 10 years. I still managed over 100 - and I think I missed one or two good ones. Never mind there is always Stoke Albany next week.
