St Mary's Place Market Harborough - Saturday 10th March 2018
In Support of Marie Curie Collection Day
With a little help from our friends
Bakanalia Border Morris
Cobbled Together - Clog Ribbon and Sword Dancing
St.Katherines Morris - in the Cotswold Style
Never ones to turn down an offer of helping with an appearance on Collection Days, we received an invitation to help out on the one of the collection days for the Marie Curie Cancer care Charity. The charity thought it had invited us but we knew some of our dancing friends would find it hard not to get out and shake the rust of ready for the coming dancing out season. We dance regularly through the year with Cobbled Together and Bakanalia but the last time we danced with St.Katherine's Morris was at Braybrooke's 25th Year day of dance in 2014. So it was a great pleasure for us when St. Katherines accepted our invitation to join us on 10th March - which they did.
With 4 sides on the 'round' we kept Harborough's Saturday morning shoppers entertained and hopefully slipping a few 'bob' into the buckets that were strategically positioned in what became a bit of a bottleneck between Argos and WIlko. The 'nice spring morning' we'd asked for we nearly got - at least it stayed raining off until we'd finished. I got the chance to try out my new camera. I have set myself the objective of taking fewer pictures this year so there is less sorting to do - fell at the 'first fence - |I took a lot (I'm not going to say how many - but now I know where the button is to turn from autowind to single shot !
Thanks also to Bob Dilling (aka Phil Riley) for his contribution - at least I get to get my 'mug shot in occasionally - thank's and keep up the good work Bob 'sithee'
