The Coach & Horses - Lubenham Thursday 28th July 2016
We always enjoy dancing at the Coach and Horses especially so on a warm summers evening.
It turned into a family /friends gathering , which is how we got such a supporting audience. There were also a group of some what bemused gents sitting out on the decking waiting for a game of pool (or maybe it was snooker),
As on so many occassions this season we were short of dancers , which meant more 4 person dances but we struggled through and enjoyed it no less. What August brings on this front is another question as along with the depletion through holidays 'Squire is of walk about' from Lands End to Lowestoft Ness raising money for the charity 'Water Aid'. So in the gathering gloom we danced out Bonny Green Garters and headed for home having wished David Bon Voyage and Good Luck as we probably won't see him again until mid September. In the meantime as the song says "We'll carry on regardless".
Apologies for some of the photographs , I've bought a new camera and am giving it a bit of a work out and I'm coming to the conclusion Photographing Morris Dancing might be beyond its or my capabilities. I was hoping Alex might provide us with some he took as his results from the Langton Brewery were really good. The last three images are not ghostly apparitions but what you get when the camera picks an exposure time of 1/2 second (normal exposure time in decent light is nearer 1/500th second)
