Marie Curie collection day, St.Mary's Place, Market Harborough - Saturday 23rd March 2019
One of our regular pastimes is supporting local branches of Charities. Just about from when the side first formed we have been regular supporters of the Macmillan Cancer Charity. This was our second call out for Marie Curie and it was nice to be invited back.
As usual , in order to make the spectacle more impressive for the average shopper as they tried to scurry past the Argos/WIlco's corner we had invited our friends from Cobbled Together , Bakanalia Border Morris, and St.Katherines Morris , to join us for the first time this season. Being helpful sorts, they obliged and turned up in strength. With more sides performing we all get chance to get our breath back between turns.
We danced from 11.00am to 1.00pm , there was also an opportunity to taker part in two 'audience participation dances unfortunately shoppers were either in too much of a rush or shy. To passers bye knew who we were we were kitted out with stylish Yellow Hats and Hi-Vis jackets - makes a difference from having flowers round your hat
Thanks to ALL the dancers and musicians who helped make it such an an enjoyable event
